We work hard to help you make the right decisions about property division, child custody, alimony, child support and other family law issues.

Call us at 770.716.1880 orcontact us online to schedule a consultation to discuss your options for resolving a divorce or family law dispute with one of our attorneys. We are committed to helping you get the proper arrangement for you and your children.

Our law firm handles a complete range of family law matters, including:

  • Contested and Uncontested Divorce and Legal Separation: We can help you work through your fault or no-fault divorce or legal separation.
  • Prenuptial Agreements: Prenuptial agreements allow parties to choose how financial issues — such as alimony and property division — will be decided in the event of a future divorce. Both parties must fully disclose their assets and income before entering a prenup agreement.
  • Child Custody and Visitation: We can explain the difference between legal custody and physical custody, and between joint custody and sole custody. Our goal is always to help you tailor a custody and visitation schedule that works for both parents and is in the best interests of the children.
  • Child Support: You may access child support calculation worksheets online to help you get an idea of the child support obligation which may apply in your case. In addition to child support, the family court will also order one or both parents to pay for medical and dental insurance and treatment.
  • Adoption: Our firm handles all types of adoptions, including open adoptions, closed adoptions, stepparent adoptions, grandparent adoptions and international adoptions.
  • Alimony/Spousal Support: In some divorces, usually those involving long-term marriages, the parties may agree (or the court may order) that one spouse pay financial support to the other. Whether or not alimony is awarded — and the amount of alimony — is decided after considering both spouses' income, education, training, work experience, earning ability and other factors.
  • Division of Marital Property: If the spouses cannot agree on how to split up the property they have acquired during the marriage, the court will order an "equitable division" of the assets and debts.
  • Post-Judgment Modifications: We can help you modify your child support, child custody, spousal support or other court order. If your child support was ordered before the law changed in 2007, you may want to revisit it.
  • Paternity and Legitimation Actions: We help establish parental rights and responsibilities.

We also support families who encounter domestic violence issues, including helping with Family Violence Petitions.
